|Instruction of use||Wash the hair with a silicon free shampoo and dry it. Mix the proper amount of the powder with tepid water until you get the consistence of yoghurt. If you know your hair is generally resistant to dyeing (e.g. grey hair) you can add a teaspoon of salt. Put directly on hair. Put on a plastic washing hat and roll a towel around your hair. Wash the dye from the forehead, nape and ears. Leave on the hair for 1 hour. Wash the dye off with warm water. Be patient – the color becomes more intensive in a few days after dyeing, because of the natural process of oxidation.|
|Ingredients||Indigofera Tinctoria (Indigo) With Henna Leaves|
Worked PerfectlyWas searching for pure Indigo and Finally I got it. I used this product on henna coloured brown hairs and it works like magic...JET BLACK HAIRS and they hold for 1-2 month.
1.Soak Henna in Iron bowl(Important) with cold water and mix well to get paste type consistency cover the bowl with plastic and kept it in shade for 8hr.
2. After 8hr Wash your hairs with shampoo dry them and apply above henna properly and cover your head with showercap or plastic for oxidation. Keep it for 1-2hr then wash with cold water(dont use shampoo).
3.After above step mix khadi Indigo in Iron bowl(Important) with cold water and mix well to bring a Little liquid type consistency (Indigo is little bit hard to apply on hair and may break hairs as its not like henna thats why liquid type consistency) then cover it with plastic and wait for 20min (max 30min after that Indigo losses colour) then apply on dry orangish or brownish hair cover it upp with plastic and wait for 1-2hr then wash with cold water(no shampoo). Done Black hairs. After 3 days shampoo your hairs to get permanent black hair and remove any Indigo residue on scalp if present.
*Don't apply only Indigo as henna orange and indigo blue makes hair black
*Don't mix henna and indigo and then apply directly it doesn't give desired results may require 2-3 re-attempts.
*Before applying henna make sure to oil your hairs 2-3 days before as Indigo may turn your scalp dry.
*For getting brown hairs make use of 6:4 ratio that is 60% henna and 40% indigo. You can adjust different shade of brown by adjusting the above ratio
GoodI have been using this for the last couple of years and I have found it to be of very good quality.
In the beginning I was disappointed with the results but with trial and error I have worked out a good combination.
Here are a few points I have observed.
#The colour imparted is temporary , it will fade off in time.
#This will not give you immediate results like chemical based hair dyes. But the end product looks very natural and hair remains soft and silky. #Everybody's hair does not take indigo equally well. So do a strand test and see how much of powder and time will be required for your hair and Also how long it lasts.
#Some people have reported developing an allergy to indigo , so be careful.
#Use henna to colour your hair first.
Indigo doesn't work on its own due to its chemical composition. It reacts with henna to form a compound that gives a colour spectrum between blackish blue to light grey. Apply henna few days prior to applying indigo. Mixing them together will not give Same results but can be done for emergencies. Soak indigo in warm water and make a thin paste. Adding a pinch of salt gives a darker colour. Apply immediately and leave for a couple of hours and wash only with water and apply a good conditioner. After 2 days you can use a shampoo to wash your hair. This will give sufficient time for the colour to develop. Make sure that your hair is freshly washed before starting. Oily or dirty hair will not pick up colour easily. As for as possible avoid detergent based shampoos. They will strip the colour very fast. Depending on the hair quality you may have to colour once in 2/3 weeks. With sufficient practice you can colour only specific strands of hair to give the highlights effect.
Good ProductThe Product is Good I have ordered it twice. Mixed with Heena gives good dark brown colour not the orange colour.
